After radio dramas like ‘Ramayana’, ‘Gandhi’ and ‘Bose’, Fever FM is back with another epic – ‘Bal Gopal’. Smriti Zubin Irani, TV actress and politician, will be narrating the entire series which will continue for two months. The first episode is going on air from August 20, 2012. The episodes will be aired from Monday to Friday at 7 am in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.

‘Bal Gopal’ will seek to give listeners an experience of audio animation and complete theatre of mind. The series will narrate stories from Lord Krishna’s childhood days. It will explain why Vishnu’s avatar came into existence and will portray various aspects of his personality, including his role as brother, son, friend and also Radha’s lover.

Apart from the narration, the series will also feature music and situational songs sung by Meenal Jain and Bhavya Pandit.

ITC Mangaldeep is the presenting sponsor, while Raindrops Basmati Rice is the associate sponsor for ‘Bal Gopal’.

We have seen similar content on TV, but this is the first time it is being taken on the radio platform. Packaged with modern sound, simple language and a popular celebrity association, the series is such that everyone, from a grandson to grandfather, will be able to relate to it.”
