The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), today, announced the format of the Phase III migration for current license holders. Operators wanting to move to Phase III need to submit their application by March 9 and before March 23, said the ministry. The earlier date intimated to the industry was March 7, which has now been changed to March 9.
The notice also said that operators who opt for the migration will also have to deposit 25 per cent of the NOTMF amount in 5 calendar days and the remaining amount within the next 15 days.
The Notice Inviting Application (NIA) is expected to be out within the next 48 hours, which would be the most important step in kicking off the Phase III remnant auctions.
