DTH operator Tata Sky has finally agreed to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) new broadcast tariff rules, according to media reports. The operator has reportedly started informing consumers about the new policy.

The move comes following a show-cause notice reportedly sent to Tata Sky by TRAI for “lack of initiative” in guiding consumers about the new tariff regime.

On the issue, a media report quoted Tata Sky CEO Harit Nagpal as saying that they are ready to assist customers with the migration. He reportedly said that there could be “difference of opinion” but they would be not be non-compliant.

Nagpal reportedly said that Tata Sky will make sure that there is transparency in the way customers have to select channels.
