AIB elects new Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is the leading advisory group of the Association and has an important role in influencing policy and standards in broadcasting and electronic media globally
The Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) has announced its new Executive Committee following elections among the AIB's global members.
The Executive Committee is the leading advisory group of the Association and has an important role in influencing policy and standards in broadcasting and electronic media globally. It contributes to the definition of the AIB's strategy as well as the overall work plan of the Association. The six-member Committee holds office for two years.

Simon Spanswick, AIB chief executive, said, "I am delighted that the newly elected AIB Executive Committee brings together such a wide and extensive range of expertise from both public and commercial broadcasters.”
He added, "These broadcasters reach hundreds of millions of people on every continent each day, and so understand the challenges that exist in our constantly changing media environment. It's great that these six executives are able to contribute to the work of the AIB, supporting the Association and its Members around the world."
The Executive Committee meets regularly throughout the year, providing governance for the Association, providing oversight of the AIB's permanent Secretariat and helping to develop the AIB's work plan.
