BTVI suspends transmission on broadcast platforms

Business Television India (BTVI) has suspended transmission on its broadcast platforms.
The announcement that the suspension has come into effect from August 31 midnight was made on Sunday.
A statement released by BTVI on Twitter said that it will communicate the future steps towards ensuring a smooth transition of operations.
"We sincerely thank everyone for all the hard work that has gone into building our television channel over the past three years.
The effort has led to BTVI achieving consistently high ratings that have vaulted it to the second rank in the English business television genre.
In recent months, BTVI has been consistently ahead of a competitor with an over two-decade long existence in the Indian business television market.
Over the past few weeks, BTVI has also steadily closed the gap with the current market leader in the English business television genre. The gap was just a few percentage points with BTVI attaining a 35% channel share in the recent rating week.
BTVI's ratings are a testimony to the tireless work of the entire team, as well an acknowledgment by discerning viewers of our product and programming quality.
