A day after reports of Sony mulling to backing out of the deal, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) informed the BSE on Tuesday that the company is committed to the merger.
“We wish to reiterate that the company is committed to the merger with Sony and is continuing to work towards a successful closure of the proposed merger,” the statement said.
This brings a fresh turn to the $10-billion mega merger between Zee and Sony that was once again at the precipice of a breakdown on Monday.
