Discovery has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the recent consultation paper issued by TRAI, calling it “illegal and arbitrary”, as per media reports.
The broadcaster has asked for the paper to be quashed. The regulatory body had issued the paper on tariff issues on August 16 and asked stakeholders to file their responses for 27 questions.
In its petition Discovery has asked TRAI not to take any further steps without following “due process of law”.
According to reports, TRAI chairman RS Sharma has clarified that the regulatory body does not have any plans to revise the pricing framework.
