FreeDish MPEG-2 Auction: 9 slots sold for Rs 213 crore on Day 2

On the second day of DD FreeDish MPEG-2 auction, nine channels have secured slots so far, even as the auction continues. According to sources, six slots of Bucket A+, which comprises GEC channels, and five slots in Bucket A, which comprises movie channels, have been sold.
The reserve price for General Entertainment Channels (GEC) Hindi or Urdu in Bucket A+ was Rs 15 crore. The reserve price for Bucket A, which consists of movie channels in Hindi/Urdu language, is Rs 12 crore.
The Bucket A+ witnessed the highest bid of Rs 21.25 crore and lowest bid of Rs 19.05 crore. The entire bucket with six slots sold for over Rs 123 crore. Slots on Bucket A were sold for a total of Rs 89.65 crore
Pubcaster Prasar Bharati has earned over Rs 255 crore from total 11 slots so far. Two slots were sold on Day 1 on Monday.
