iTV network elevates Rana Yashwant as Editor-in-Chief of India News

Rana Yashwant, Managing Editor, India News channel has been elevated to the position of Editor-in-Chief. 

His elevation as the Editor -in-Chief of India News is in line with the organisation’s larger plans to revamp and refocus its strategy for reaching out to a wider audience, including in the digital space. 

Announcing the move, Aishwarya Pandit Sharma, Chairperson, iTV Foundation said, “High-quality content is at the core of our work at iTV network and this elevation is designed to meet the long-term needs of the business. Internally, it will allow swifter decision-making and better cross platform working. Externally, we will be better equipped to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing media environment.”

She further added, “I would like to congratulate Rana for his new responsibilities. Rana is highly experienced in the television industry, and I’m confident that these changes to the structure will only add to the quality of content we provide to our viewers’ every day.”

Yashwant has  a rich experience of working with established media organisations like Aaj Tak, Zee News and Mahuaa TV and has been associated with India News since 2013. 

Rana completed his journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) and further studies from Patna and BHU Varanasi. He is also the recipient of various prestigious awards - WHRPA ” Bharat Gaurav Samman” 2016, REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship & Award 2015-16, ENBA, Red Ink Award and Rajiv Gandhi Global Excellence Award for outstanding Hindi Journalism.
