According to reports, talks for a merger between Essel Group's Dish TV India and Airtel Digital TV have reportedly stalled due to differences over the deal's structure.
Dish TV has reportedly opted to explore a sale of the business for cash instead of an all-stock merger, while Airtel Digital TV was committed to offering shares. However, no decision has yet been made and talks could resume.
The merger between DishTV and Airtel Digital TV could help Bharti's position against rival Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd after it acquired Den Networks Ltd and Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd in October 2018.
