Nissar Ahmad, senior photojournalist who was associated with The Hindu for 25 years passed away in Srinagar after a battle with cancer. He was 59.
Ahmad is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter. His illustrious career spanned over three decades, during which he extensively covered the Kashmir region and contributed significantly to the local media.
Various journalists' organizations and political parties have expressed their condolences on Ahmad’s demise. The Kashmir Press Photographers Association (KPPA) also mourned his loss, stating that his passing has created a void in the photojournalistic circles of Kashmir.
