Sahara informs SC its media operations have shut down

Sahara Group has informed Supreme Court that its television and press operations had been shut down and it employees are deserting it, according to a media report. The report also claimed, “There was a courtroom bidding war for a property of the group in Gorakhpur in UP.”
Sahara counsel Kapil Sibal is reported to be in the process of filing a petition in the Supreme Court in order to explain the difficulties faced by the group and how it would not be able to meet the conditions set by the SC for the release of group chief Subrata Roy
The group runs Sahar Samay news, Roznama Sahara newspaper in Urdu, Rashtriya Sahara newspaper in Hindi and Sahara Infotainment their GEC offering.
