STAR's Sameer Seth joins Network18 as Head, News18
Seth is now heading the international business of News18 international channels. His previous stint was with STAR India as AVP, Network Marketing
Sameer Seth, former AVP, Network Marketing with STAR India, has been appointed by Network18 as Head, News18 from June 11, 2014.
Commenting on his appointment, a Reliance Industries spokesperson said, “Sameer Seth joined on June 11 from Star Network as head of News 18 World, looking after international business of News18 international channels.”
Seth was with STAR India since December 2011, where he drove affiliate marketing for the network as a part of the core network marketing function.
From 2005 to 2011, Seth was General Manager, Marketing, CNN-IBN & IBN7, Network18.
He was responsible for the brand marketing function of CNN-IBN and part of the brand team that launched CNN-IBN, IBN-Lokmat & repositioned erstwhile Channel 7 as IBN7.
Earlier, Seth had worked as Marketing Manager, Dish TV and Business Manager – Media Communications, The Mediaworld Group.
