Sudhir Chaudhary to join Aaj Tak as Consulting Editor
Prior to this, Chaudhary was associated with Zee for over a decade
Sudhir Chaudhary, former editor-in-chief and CEO of Zee News, will be joining Aaj Tak as Consulting Editor.
The news was shared by Vice Chairperson of the India Today Group Kalli Purie in an internal communication, accessed by e4m.
“Sudhir and Aaj Tak are collaborating to bring to our 100 million viewers an exciting new show anchored by him. This show will be under the supervision of News Director Supriya Prasad. I know the mills have been hyperactive and this announcement should give a closure :-). The natural home for a household name in news is always Aaj Tak!”
“Sudhir needs no introduction. He was last seen on the award winning, high engagement, TRP record setting show DNA. He has one of the largest following on social media and a galaxy of awards from every reputable organization,” she dsaid further.
A veteran of Indian TV journalism, Sudhir Chaudhary was associated with Zee for over a decade. However, it was his second stint at the company. He had joined Zee News during its initial years, but had left in 2003 to join Sahara Samay. He had also joined India TV for some time.
In 2012 he returned to Zee News, where he was hosting his show Daily News & Analysis (DNA), one of the highest rated show on Hindi news channels.
