Sun TV Network’s full-year revenue rises 5.2%
The company reported Rs 380.40 cr in profit after tax for the quarter
Sun Tv Network Limited reported a rise of 5.2% in its full-year consolidated revenue to Rs 3,772.1 crore for the year ended March 31, 2023 as compared to Rs 3,584.8 crore from a year ago period.
The company, however, saw a drop of about 2% in its fourth quarter consolidated revenue at Rs 840.36 crore. It reported Rs 380.40 crore in profit after tax for the quarter, lower than Rs 410.17 crore, as reported in year-ago quarter.
The advertisement revenues for the quarter were at Rs.338.37 crores compared to Rs.337.13 crores for the corresponding quarter while subscription revenues for the quarter fell to Rs.406.11 crores as against Rs. 416.03 crores for the corresponding quarter.
The results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2023 include income from the Holding Company's Cricket franchises SunRisers Hyderabad and SunRisers Eastern Cape for season 2023 and corresponding costs.
Total consolidated expenses grew 15.7% to Rs 424. 75 crore from year-ago period.
Sun TV Network Limited operates Satellite Television Channels across six languages of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bangla and Marathi, airs FM radio stations across India and owns the SunRisers Hyderabad Cricket Franchise of the Indian Premier League, SunRisers Eastern Cape of Cricket South Africa's T20 League and the Digital OTT Platform Sun NXT.
