Times Group’s Vineet Jain honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at enba 2023

Vineet Jain, Managing Director, The Times Group, has been honoured with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at enba 2023. The 16th edition of the exchange4media news broadcasting awards (enba) was held on Saturday, March 30 at The Imperial, Connaught Place, New Delhi. The awards aim to celebrate excellence in television news within India and focuses on acknowledging outstanding broadcasters and industry leaders.

Vineet Jain, who began his tenure with The Times Group in 1988, boasts a remarkable legacy. He is renowned not only for his visionary approach in expanding the Group's ventures beyond print media but also for his pivotal role as the chief architect of content across newspapers, television, radio, and online platforms. His pioneering initiatives have set industry standards, serving as blueprints for others to follow.

After being appointed the Deputy Managing Director in 1993 and Managing Director five years later, Jain has effectively overseen the day-to-day operations of the group, encompassing marketing, financial management, human resources, and brand development, among other functions.

Among the other key winners in the excellency category were Avinash Pandey, CEO of ABP Network, who was awarded the ‘CEO of the Year’ honour while the enba editorial maverick of the year 2023 award was given to Supriya Prasad, News Director, Aaj Tak, India Today & GNT.

India Today’s Rahul Kanwal won the award in the ‘News Television – News Director/Editor-in-Chief / Managing Editor/News Editor of the Year- English’ category while Sanjay Pugalia of NDTV won the award in the ‘News Television – News Director / Editor-in-Chief / Managing Editor / News Editor of the Year- Hindi’ category.
