Pankaj Khelkar, who was associated with India Today Group, suffered heart attack on Monday night
Renowned TV journalist Pankaj Khelkar is no more. Khelkar, who was associated with India Today Group, suffered a heart attack on Monday night. He was 54.
Khelkar was serving as Associate Editor in Pune Bureau. He had been with India Today roup for about 26 years.
Remembering Khelkar, Rahul Kanwal, News Director of India Today and Aajtak, shared, “In the two decades that I knew him, Pankaj was always the first to experiment with and implement new broadcast technologies in his reportage, oftentimes even before the technical team had formally rolled them out.”

MP Supriya Sule too mourned his death. “The news of the death of senior journalist Pankaj Khelkar is shocking. Pankaj was a very experienced journalist. He did very good reporting on the political and social sphere in and around the city of Pune. We all share in the grief the Khelkar family has felt due to his demise. A heartfelt tribute,” she wrote on X.
Pankaj Khelkar studied television journalism from Symbiosis Institute of Media in 1995. He started working with India Today in 1997.
