TV Today reports revenue jump of 38% in Q1 FY25
Profit up nearly 500% at Rs 51.38 crore, a massive jump from the same period previous fiscal when it stood at Rs 8.7 crore
TV Today Network Ltd has reported a revenue jump of 38% in the first quarter of financial year 2024-25. The news network’s total revenue for the quarter ending June 30, 2024 stood at Rs 321.5 crore, up from Rs 232.4 crore in Q1 FY24.
The operating revenue of the company in Q1 FY25 was Rs 311.8 crore, up by 40% from Rs 222.7 crore in Q1 FY24.
The company has posted a profit of Rs 51.38 crore in Q1 FY25, a massive 490% jump from the same period previous fiscal when it stood at Rs 8.7 crore.
Its total expenses stood at Rs 252.5 crore in the first quarter of FY25, up from Rs 220.4 crore in Q1 FY24.
The production of the company increased from Rs 26 crore in Q1 FY24 to Rs 39 crore in Q1 FY25. Its employee benefit expenses also went up from Rs 84 crore in the first quarter last fiscal to Rs 99 crore in Q1 FY25.
The company’s finance cost reduced from Rs 87 lakh to Rs 84 lakh in Q1 FY25 and its depreciation and amortization expenses also came down from Rs 10.2 crore in Q1 FY24 to Rs 9.4 crore in Q1 FY25.
The revenue from radio broadcasting came down to Rs 2.57 crore in Q1 FY25 from Rs 3.91 crore in Q1 FY24.
The results were announced for TV Today Network Ltd and its subsidiaries -Mail Today Newspapers Pvt Ltd, TV Today Network (Business) Ltd and Vibgyor Broadcasting Pvt Ltd.
