Vinod Kapri has put in his papers at News Express as its CEO and Editor-In-Chief. It has been reported that Prasoon Shukla will be taking over from him.
Kapri had joined the group in 2013. He has been in the field of journalism for the last 21 years.
He started his career in 1992 at Dainik Jagran, Bareli as trainee reporter, after which he worked at Amar Ujala, Bareli-Muradabad for two years. He joined Zee News, Delhi as trainee reporter in 1995. In 2004, he joined Star News and served there till 2007 as Deputy Managing Editor. In 2007, he joined India TV as Managing Editor.
He has also produced a film, which is slated for release soon.
