Zee Classic, the channel which went off-air last year and was replaced by Zee Bollywood, is all set to make a comeback. The channel will go in for a revamped look. There were reports that it's returning as an HD channel but according to sources there is no truth to that tale.

A source close to the development revealed to exchange4media, "Zee Classic will come back and will be a premium offering. They are looking to launch it in the first quarter of the next financial year. There was a lot of confusion about Zee Classic being HD and this and that. It's not an HD channel but will be a premium offering and will launch in the first quarter of the next financial year. But decisions on the same are yet to be finalised."

When Zee Classic went off-air last year, Zee Bollywood took its place. So what happens to Zee Bollywood now? Our source assured that Zee Bollywood will stay where it is. "This will be a new version of Zee Classic. At that time licenses and permissions were happening, that's why we took a short break, It will be a sharper offering of the golden era of Indian cinema in the last 100 years," the source revealed.
