ZEEL acquires 9X Media, INX Media for Rs 160 cr; also acquires balance 26% in Zee Turner for Rs 2.6 lakh
Indian media conglomerate Zee Entertainment Enterprises has acquired 9X Media for Rs160 crore. 9X Media owns a clutch of Hindi and regional music channels.
ZEEL has also acquired balance 26% in Zee Turner for Rs 2.6 lakh.
9X Media operates three music channels in Hindi — 9XM, 9X Jalwa and 9X Bajao — one each in English (9XO), Marathi (9X Jhakaas) and Punjabi (9X Tashan). It also has a digital product, SpotboyE, offering Bollywood’s news, gossip, movie reviews and other updates.
ZEEL has also acquired balance 26% in Zee Turner for Rs 2.6 lakh.
