Amit Jain promoted to EVP & MD, MTV Networks-India, China & SEA; to also serve on Viacom 18 board
MTV Networks has elevated Amit Jain to EVP & MD, MTV Networks-India, China and SEA. Prior to this, he was MD only for India, and was EVP for South Asia. He will also serve on the soon-to-be-formed Viacom 18 board.
MTV Networks International has induced a key change in it top management. Amit Jain, hitherto Managing Director for MTV Networks India, and EVP for South Asia, has been elevated to EVP and MD, MTV Networks-India, China and South East Asia. The change takes place with immediate effect. Jain continues to report to Bob Bakish, President, MTV Networks International.
Jain joined MTV Networks in January 2006. Prior to that he was with Coca-Cola India. At MTV, Jain is credited with bringing in Viacom Brand Solutions to the Indian operations, changing the brand architecture for MTV products like Nick and VH1, and being instrumental in the formation of the Viacom 18 entity.
MTV Networks India forayed into other initiatives with deals like that with Adlabs in the movie domain and so on under Jain’s supervision.
