Bob Iger to continue as Walt Disney CEO till 2026
The company has said the extension will give Iger ‘more time to execute a transition plan for the CEO succession'
Walt Disney has extended the contract of CEO Bob Iger for two more years.
In a statement, the company said Iger will remain on the post till December 31, 2026.
He joined Disney for his second stint after CEO Bob Chapek was asked to step down. Iger was given the task of improving Disney's profitability.
Iger's first stint with Disney as CEO was in 2005 and he was in that role for 15 years.
The company has said this extension will give Iger "more time to execute a transition plan for the CEO succession".
