Castrol India elevates Rakesh Makhija as Board Chairman

Rakesh Makhija has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Castrol India, effective 1 October 2024, succeeding R Gopalakrishnan.
Earlier this year, in April, Castrol India's Board of Directors approved Makhija's reappointment as an Independent Director for a five-year term starting October 1.
Makhija joined Castrol India as an Independent Non-Executive Director in 2019. He also serves as an Independent Director on the Axis Bank Board since 2015 and has been the Non-executive Chairman of Axis Bank since July 2019. Additionally, he is a board member of A.Treds, a subsidiary of Axis Bank.
