Uber Technologies has appointed former Tesla executive Rebecca Tinucci to oversee the ride-hailing platform's shift to electric vehicles. Tinucci took to LinkedIn and announced her new role with the company.
“Shouting from the rooftops today - I’m joining Uber as Head of Sustainability”, her LinkedIn post read.
As per reports, Tinucci will take up the new role from September 16 as Global Head of Sustainability. She will report to Andrew Macdonald.
Prior to this, Rebecca Tinucci was with Tesla for over 6 years where she held the role of Senior Director - Charging Infrastructure. Tinucci had led Tesla’s Supercharger business.
