Geet Rathi joins Area 23 as Creative Director and VP
Rathi was with TBWA India prior to this where she was the Creative/Design Director
Geet Rathi has joined the health advertising agency Area 23 and she will be operating from its New York office. Rathi announced the decision on LinkedIn.
She wrote:
My dear TBWA\India friends and colleagues I’m thinking of you as change is here.
In midst of Cannes Lions Jury announcements on LinkedIn I want to add a thank you note! This message was long due. I still see my LinkedIn status showing up my work anniversary with TBWA. To be honest I love to be a TBWAian. After almost 7 years of a relentless search for creative excellence, transforming this wonderful company, teaming up with so many talented people, I move forward.
We had a chance to live something extraordinary together and made some of the best work in the world along the way. Sometimes important work for the world.
Working with you I became a different leader, a different creative, a different person. I learned how to listen, how to give without imposing, how to help achieve what your goal with compassion. I will forever carry this heritage with me. Thank you.
Looking back at this journey, I am genuinely proud at how TBWA has a steady pace in the creative world. And I am confident in the bright future that awaits the agency. Be sure I’ll be right here cheering for your success.

((I wish I could name everyone) Thanks to the Planning and Accounts team who believed together we could invent a new way to work, a new way to collaborate, a new way to approach the art of building a creative network. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without Govind Pandey, Subramanian Krishnan, Parixit Bhattacharya, Namrata Nandan and Abhijit Dube’s guidance and leadership. We showed there was an alternative! We consciously proved that anything is possible when empathy and generosity are the core values that drive us!
A special thanks to Sunil Nair for making everything seamless at work. Each and everyone at TBWA\India - Mumbai has some or the other way helped me pace and pave my path to amazing work.
Whilst I will deeply miss my TBWA crew and our daily hearty hustles yet I know we will cross paths again in the near future.
