James Smyllie, the President of Initiative APAC, has stepped down following the restructuring of the company, report stated. IPG Mediabrands has confirmed a restructuring of its Initiative agency regional leadership team.
According to reports, Leigh Terry will assume direct leadership of Initiative APAC. This will be in addition to the wider IPG Mediabrands APAC network.
Smyllie has been with Initiative APAC for just about three years. He joined as President in 2021 and worked with clients such as Amazon, Lego, Carlsberg, MSD, Patek Philippe, 3M and British Council.
Before Initiative, Smyllie was with Essence.
