Mail Today appoints Rahul Thappa as COO
Mail Today has appointed Rahul Thappa as COO. Thappa, who has joined the company on May 2, 2011, takes over from Suresh Balakrishnan, who would be leaving the company shortly.
Mail Today has appointed Rahul Thappa as COO. Thappa, who has joined the company on May 2, 2011, takes over from Suresh Balakrishnan, who would be leaving the company shortly. He will be reporting to Ashish Bagga, CEO, India Today Group.
Thappa has experience in media and advertising, where his last assignment was with MindShare, Malaysia as Managing Director. Prior to that, he had held senior positions in the advertising industry. Just before joining Mail Today, Thappa completed a Post Graduate Management Programme for Senior Executives from IIM Ahmedabad.
It may be recalled Mail Today had recently also appointed Manoj Sharma as Business Head, a newly created post. The Business Head position was created to focus on advertising revenues of the paper. Sharma would report to Thappa.
