McDonald's names Angelina Villanueva as its new CMO for Asia

Villanueva is currently serving as Director- Marketing at Yum Brands Singapore

McDonald's has roped in seasoned marketer Angelina Villanueva as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of its Asia business unit, media reports said. Villanueva will take charge of the new role starting on September 1. She is currently serving as Director of Marketing at Yum Brands Singapore.

Reports stated that Villanueva has been appointed to the role following the departure of McDonald's veteran Brenda Kou. She joined the Asia CMO role in October 2023 after a successful tenure as vice president of integrated marketing for Taiwan.

Villanueva is a seasoned expert with over 20 years of marketing expertise. As per media reports, in her new role as Asia CMO, she will oversee marketing for 12 markets, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Brunei, and India.
