Mohan Thapa is Associate VP at Converge Comm

Converge Communications has appointed Mohan Thapa as the Associate Vice President for the OOH vertical. A veteran with a prolific career and achievements, Thapa moves in to Converge Communications from Videocon Telecommunications Ltd. where he was Head - Marketing Communications, Mumbai.

Thapa brings with him over 17 years of experience handling a gamut of responsibilities in planning and executing some of the most successful and well acclaimed campaigns. During his career, Thapa has worked with some of the renowned brands across various verticals.

Speaking about his new role, Mohan Thapa said, “I am indeed delighted on joining Converge Communications as the Associate Vice President, OOH vertical and I am looking forward to the challenge of contributing to the company’s continued growth. My priorities in this new role would include leveraging expertise in planning and executing campaigns, aimed at winning the trust of our valued customers and also strengthening our brand image.”

Beginning his career with Chateau Windsor Hotel, Mumbai, Thapa steadily climbed the professional ladder to be Business Development Manager at Laqshya Media Pvt. Ltd, one of the biggest OOH media companies in India.

Prior to his stint with Videocon Telecommunications Ltd, Thapa has worked with Ogilvy Action – Delhi, a division of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Network World wide, as Account Director where he was responsible for communication strategy development, planning & implementation of the campaigns for some of the preeminent clients, including Vodafone, ICICI Prudential, Hindustan Unilever, HSBC, Barclay Bank and Nestle.

Thapa is a Commerce graduate from Himachal Pradesh University and has completed Masters in Business Administration from Amity University. As a student, Thapa was actively involved in co-curricular activities, having played football and hockey. He was the state level winner of the play from GSSS Solan in 1986. Thapa led the NCC troupe of GSSS Solan and was selected the best cadet from Himachal for RD Parade, New Delhi in 1986.
