Food and beverages major PepsiCo may appoint its senior executive George Kovoor as its President, said a media report. The incumbent, Ahmed ElSheikh, may reportedly take on a global role early next year.
A leadership change is in the offing with the announcement likely to come in the next few months, said the report.
Kovoor is currently the Senior Vice President and General Manager at PepsiCo India. He has been associated with the brand for 30 years, helming various roles in APAC, China and New York. Kovoor is back in India after nearly two decades and has been handling the company’s long-term sustainability strategy for the India business.
ElSheikh, who is originally from Egypt, was the first expat to lead PepsiCo India.
