Pradeep Gairola has joined meritnation.com as COO post his stint with timesofindia.com; Info Edge (Naukri) has invested Rs 30 cr in the company
After his stint as Vice President and Business Head of timesofindia.com, Pradeep Gairola has now moved on to meritnation.com as the COO of the company.
Meritnation.com operates in kindergarten to Class 12 (K - 12) segment in education. Info Edge (Naukri) has invested about Rs 30 crore in the company.
Education sector in India is likely to witness dramatic changes in near future. According to Technopak, the private education sector is estimated to reach $70 billion by 2013 and $115 billion by 2018.
Commenting on his move to meritnation.com, Gairola said, “After a great stint at Times Internet, I am very excited to be part of a company that will touch lives of millions of Indian students and will help them to shape their destiny.”
Gairola spent seven years at Times Internet. Prior to that, he was with Ananda Bazaar Patrika (ABP) Group for four years, where he was the Associate Vice President for the west and south regions. He has also worked with Mid-Day, where he handled advertising sales for the online properties.
