Pradyuman Maheshwari, Editor of Pune-based Maharashtra Herald, has put in his papers. This veteran journalist is all set to join DNA next week as Senior Editor and will also be on the paper’s Editorial Board. He replaces B. V. Rao who quit last month, and will head DNA’s front page and City coverage. Maheshwari had done a longish stint with Mid-Day in the nineties. He left Mid-Day in 2000. He subsequently started Mediaah!, a blog hosted on blogspot.com, which went on to become a source of media gossip. Forced to shut down Mediaah! for lack of revenues, he joined Maharashtra Herald in 2004. The newspaper was revamped under his supervision, but Maheshwari believes that “it is time I took up a new task”.
