Prem Mehta resigns as Chairman of Lintas board; Stephen Gatfield takes over
All speculations around Prem Mehta’s role in the Lintas India system come to rest with the latest announcement from Lowe Worldwide, wherein the company has accepted Mehta’s request for an early retirement as Chairman and Managing Director of Lintas India board. Stephen Gatfield, CEO, Lowe Worldwide, assumes this role now.
All speculations around Prem Mehta’s role in the Lintas India system come to rest with the latest announcement from Lowe Worldwide. On a conference call with the press on April 25, 2008, Stephen Gatfield, CEO, Lowe Worldwide stated, “Lowe Worldwide has accepted Prem’s decision to opt for an early retirement as Chairman and Managing Director of the Lintas India board.”
Gatfield assumes this role now.
“In January 2008, Prem had expressed the desire to retire as Chairman and MD, which, following a board meeting, Lowe Worldwide has accepted. We are please to recognise Prem’s valuable role in steering the Indian company to its current stature, both in India and internationally. The board of Lintas India, Lowe Worldwide and IPG wish him the very best as he leaves the organisation that he has been a part of for the last 28 years,” Gatfield further said.
