Puneet Johar, Senior VP, Marketing and Communication, to quit STAR India
After six years with the STAR Network, Puneet Johar, Senior VP, Marketing and Communication, STAR India, has decided to move on from the media major to explore entrepreneurial opportunities. For the last two years, Johar has been working across the STAR channels, handling their marketing and communication responsibilities.
After six years with the STAR Network, Puneet Johar, Senior VP, Marketing and Communication, STAR India, has decided to move on from the media major. Of these six years, for the past two years, Johar has been working across the STAR channels, handling their marketing and communication responsibilities. Johar reports to STAR India Marketing and Communication Head, Ajay Vidyasagar, as his deputy. He will complete his responsibilities with the network over the next few weeks before moving on.
Confirming the development, Johar said that he’d had a great stint at the STAR Network – from channels like National Geographic to mainstay STAR channels. However, he believed that it was time for him to explore entrepreneurial opportunities now.
Johar has been associated with some of the high level marketing initiatives that STAR India has pulled off in the last two years – from ‘Kkavyanjali’ to ‘KBC-2’ to the on-going work around the likes of ‘Prithviraj Chauhan’. The brand heads of various channels, who were reporting to Johar, would now report to Vidyasagar.
