In a sudden development, Sahara One Television has seen another change in its senior management. Purnendu Bose, the channel’s COO, has moved on after a 17-month stint with the organisation.

Confirming this, Bose said, “I want to pursue my own dreams now. I have been contemplating this for a while but wanted to wait for some of the recent properties that I initiated.”

A replacement hasn’t been found yet. Sources close to the development inform that Seemanto Roy, who has just taken control of operations, would be directly involved with the channel now.

After joining Sahara One Television in April last year as COO, Bose had steered the channel through a period of change. He has been responsible for Sahara One Television's fresh look and content.

Prior to this, he was part of the team that launched Radio City, Star News and then went on to launch Hungama TV and run the channel as COO until April 2005, when he moved to Sahara One.
