R Chandrasekar to head marketing at a financial services group; quits Airtel
After a stint of three years, R Chandrasekar (aka Chandru) has decided to move on from Bharti Airtel as Senior Vice President and Head of Brand and Media. It is understood that Chandrasekar is headed to a financial services group to head its marketing function.

After a stint of three years, R Chandrasekar has moved on from Bharti Airtel as Senior Vice President and Head of Brand and Media. It is understood that Chandrasekar is headed to a financial services group to head its marketing function. Even as official comments were not available at the time of filing the report, sources familiar with the development have confirmed the same to exchange4media.
In his role as SVP & Head of Brand and Media, Chandrasekar has led many brand initiatives for Airtel that included the Barrier Breaking campaign, the campaigns featuring actors R Madhavan and Vidya Balan, Toy Phone. Chandrasekar was also involved with the Airtel Digital TV launch campaign, the campaign for Airtel’s Sri Lanka foray and the broadband campaign, amongst others.
Chandrasekar brings 13 years of experience, of which he spent seven years with Britannia and three with Marico, besides his stint with Airtel.
