Roma Dutta Chobey named interim head of Google India LCS
Google has kickstarted search for Sanjay Gupta's replacement after his elevation to President APAC
Roma Datta Chobey will be the interim head of Google’s Large Customer Sales team as Sanjay Gupta is now elevated to President of Google APAC, e4m has learnt.
As per the company’s internal memo accessed by e4m, Google has kickstarted its search for Gupta’s replacement as India head.
“Following Scott’s announcement in May that he would retire and leave Google at the end of this year, we began an extensive and thorough search for our new APAC President – which was led by Scott. I’m thrilled to share the news that Sanjay Gupta our Country Manager for India is now the President of Asia Pacific,” Philip Schindler, SVP & Chief Business Officer at Google, has said in the internal mail.
Roma Dutta Chobey who is currently the MD – Digital Native Industries, Media and Entertainment and Government at Google. She joined the company in November 2015 as Head of Industry (Classifieds and Gaming) from HDFC Bank.
