Ruth Sun appointed as Managing Director for Google Cloud – Korea

Prior to this, Ruth Sun was with IBM as Global Managing Director - Strategic Partnerships

Ruth Sun has been appointed as Managing Director for Google Cloud – Korea. The news of her appointment was shared by Karan Bajwa, President, Asia Pacific Google Cloud.

In a LinkedIn post, Bajwa said, “Very pleased to welcome Ruth Sun, who joins us today as Managing Director for Google Cloud in Korea. Ruth is a proven leader with decades of experience driving enterprise transformation. Her ability to build deep, strategic relationships with the world’s largest companies and translate cutting-edge tech especially AI and data analytics  into tangible business value for our customers will further accelerate our growth Korea”

Ruth Sun is a seasoned Board Director and CEO, most known as a growth-minded tech exec outstanding at establishing GTM strategies and building diverse ecosystems to scale growth in international markets across private and public global businesses.

Prior to this, Ruth served on IBM’s Corporate Leadership Team as Global Managing Director and CEO of IBM’s multibillion dollar business relationship with Samsung Group. Before IBM, she served as CEO/Board Director of Tempest, where she led the company’s turnaround and tripled the company’s topline growth by expanding routes to market and streamlining business operations.
