Sarah Trombetta elevated to CEO of Grey APAC
Grey’s Global COO Nirvik Singh has moved on after a 33-year stint
Grey has promoted Sarah Trombetta, the chief client officer for the AMEA region at P&G and WPP as the APAC CEO effective immediately. In this role, she will be reporting to the group’s global CEO Laura Maness.
Meanwhile, Grey’s global COO Nirvik Singh who has been looking after the region since 2010 and was their South Asia CEO since 2004 has resigned from the company. He served at the company for 33 years, having joined them at the age of 26.
Trombetta would be the first woman to hold the post. Her promotion is one of the many rejigging measures taken by Maness to restructure the group and focus on regions that have the potential to generate more business. As APAC is a “growth priority” for Grey, Maness said this move is a conscious effort to do away with the two-market approach (North America and International) and embrace the global client relationships across regions.
The agency had previously discontinued the practice of regional management. Trombetta’s appointment comes as a way to return to the old practice.
