Shripad Nadkarni and Sharda Agarwal quit Coke
Coca Cola, India is witnessing some senior level upheaval presently. Shripad Nadkarni, VP, Marketing and Sharda Agarwal, Director, Marketing have put in their papers. Confirming the development, Coke officials share that both Nadkarni and Agarwal will continue till mid-February, 2004.

Sharing more the spokesperson says, “They will continue until next month to handle the transition and complete the campaigns for the year 2005.” The company is still in the process of deciding on suitable replacements.
Sharing more on this, Nadkarni expresses, “The Indian economy is booming presently and the market consultancy space is very uncluttered. So, there is huge opportunity here and we thought we should give it a shot.”
He shares that since their duties with Coke are on at least for some more time, it would take the team a couple of months to put their consultancy in place. “Right now there are just two of us,” shares Nadkarni, “But there could be a partner going further.”
About the stint with Coke he states, “Coke is virtually a part of me and will always be. We have worked with a great marketing team, got an award to prove that! It has been great but at some time one has to do something on his or her own and now is the time.”
