Sun TV re-appoints 3 independent directors
Sridhar Venkatesh, Desmond Hemanth Theodore and Mathipoorana Ramakrishnan have been re-appointed for a five-year term
The Board of Directors of Sun TV have re-appointed three of its independent directors as their tenure ends on March 31.
The Board has approved the re-appointment of Sridhar Venkatesh, Desmond Hemanth Theodore and Mathipoorana Ramakrishnan as Independent Directors on the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee.
The appointments of Sridhar Venkatesh and Desmond Theodore will be effective from April 1 for a term of five years, while that of Mathipoorana Ramakrishnan will be effective from June 21 as the five-year tenure ends on June 20.
“Based on the recommendation of Nomination & Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors have approved the Re-Appointment of Mr. Sridhar Venkatesh, as a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company for a further period of five years with effect from 1st April 2024 subject to approval of the shareholders by way of postal ballot,” the company informed in a BSE filing with the same announcement for the other two independent directors, Theodore and Ramakrishnan.
