Times Group shuffle: Sameer Sainani is COO of Optimal Media Solutions

Sameer Sainani, Director-Response at Times Group and angel investor, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Optimal Media Solutions (OMS), e4m has learnt from sources. OMS is part of Times Internet.
Sivakumar Sundaram, Chairman Executive Committee at Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group), sent out an email to the BCCL staff on Friday announcing Sainani’s new role.
exchange4media was the first to report that Sainani was the frontrunner for the new COO role at OMS.
Sainani has replaced veteran media executive Rohit Gopakumar who recently stepped down after serving as the COO of OMS for 10 years.
Sainani has been the Director-Response at Times Group for more than a decade now, apart from being a board member in the group. He joined the Times Group in 2003 as Chief Revenue Officer of Radio Mirchi before moving to BCCL.
He is considered an innovative thinker and a transformation leader with broad-based expertise in business development, operations, marketing, finance and people management. He is known for developing strategies to create successful outcomes in complex situations.
