Varun Kohli has stepped down as the CEO and Director of Bharat Express, effective June 15. Kohli had joined Bharat Express in January 2023. Efforts by e4m.com to reach Kohli for comments were unsuccessful. However, Bharat Express founder Upendrra Rai confirmed Kohli's departure, expressing his best wishes for Kohli's future endeavors. "Varun Kohli's contributions have been significant, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter," said Rai.

His extensive media career also includes an 8-year tenure at ITV Network, where he rose from COO and Revenue Head to Group CEO. Additionally, Kohli has held senior positions at TV18 Broadcast, DNA Newspapers, Mogae Media, and Mail Today Newspaper. He also has experience in print media with HT, Amar Ujala, Deccan Chronicle, and Bennett Coleman and Company.

Bharat Express, launched on February 1, 2023, by central cabinet ministers and former bureaucrats, with media veteran Uday Shankar as the chief guest, has quickly made its mark in broadcasting and the digital space. In its first year, the channel has achieved commendable success, reportedly generating impressive revenues.

As of now, Kohli's next professional destination remains undisclosed.
