Commencing the 'Reboot Mantra' series, Media Mantra in association with exchange4media hosted its first webinar on the topic, ‘The New Mantra for Workspace Consulting' on Friday.
The webinar had luminaries from the start-up industry as panelists-- Diksha Deo, Founder & CEO, INCUBSENCE; Nitin Goel, VP - Strategy & Delivery Excellence, MyBranch, Narayan Bhargava Group; Vikash Anand, Partner, Flipspaces; Paras Arora, Founder & CEO, Qdesq; San Banerjee, CEO, ADDA; along with Udit Pathak, Director, Media Mantra. The panel was moderated by Ruhail Amin, Senior Editor at exchange4media group.
Amin opened the discussion by asking the panelists about how communication is helping shape #rebootstrategy. Anand responded, “Communication plays an extremely important role. There is a lack of clarity in most aspects. So, communication coming from key stakeholders is important.”  Putting her views forward, Deo said, “Communication is the key. In this situation, it is essential to understand that if we don't talk, we won't be able to get the message across.”
On being asked about how right PR makes companies credible, Banerjee responded, “PR has been a very important part of our re-marketing budgets. We took a conscious decision to not move PR. When you want quick visibility, it is the best way to get the message around." Echoing the thought, Banerjee, Arora added, “PR is the most important element for communication. There is an information overload. So, right kind of communication to the right audience is essential.”
“Brands have become more mature now. They know exactly what they need to communicate. They know what the customer is looking for and the trend is going to continue for a year," added Pathak.
Amin then asked Banerjee how is ADDA rebooting real-estate through technology. She replied, “We sell products to the real estate for automating management communities. We have taken cognizance of the need that people do want software, but there is just the minimal need."
“We've been able to carve out a package 'Adda Essential' with sufficient basics for apartments and communities. It Includes help centers, contacting representatives," she shared.
Arora too put forward his thoughts by adding, “Whether residential or commercial, people are adopting technology. It is a real time process and easily adaptable. The entire management now is automated through the platform we have created. It's being adopted across real estate."
Responding to how can workspace experience be optimised during & post-COVID,  Arora said, “The whole concept of a head office will become more of a strategy office. It will be more of multi-city, multi-remote offices. WFH (work from home) will definitely continue unless it is very tangible in nature." Goel added, “We are working on making smart offices, happy offices, efficient offices because client satisfaction is the core of all offerings."
Talking about the shift in consumer behaviour, Pathak said, “ We have made a big change by WFH. Overall, if you look at the entire industry, a lot has changed and people are smart enough to come up with solutions."
“Startups are highly focusing on improving consumer experience. If your product isn't digitised, it's going to be very difficult to sell,” added Anand.
Amin further asked how digitising property management is foreseen. Deo talked about people in the manufacturing sector. She said, “We should also look at people working in the manufacturing area. They have to be out there because of infrastructure. For us, it is important to get the contactless tech to embed in that segment."
She added, “We need to consider that 75% of the labour force works in Manufacturing. We can't provide laptops and systems to them. So, in two years, we need to come up with a technology that can help the manufacturing employees to keep a check on their well being, whereabouts, needless contact yet being able to see their work."
Amin took concluding thoughts from the speakers. Goel said, “India has always shown the world the way forward. The 3Cs- Corona, COVID  & Cyclone can't stop us as we have and follow the P- Passion."
Deo emphasised on going local by saying, “We really need to focus on going local and 'make in India'. Post COVID, things are going to change. We just need them to slide in our direction."
“We need to look at solutions on how frequently we'll sanitise washrooms and cafeterias. Most companies that want to start functioning, have to be ready with certain SOPs before bringing people back," concluded Anand.
