Following a multi-agency pitch, the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has decided to empanel Crayons, Goldmine, Adwit, Square Communications and Mode Advertising to handle the communications for the northern region.

The agencies have been empanelled for a period of two years, however the duration of the empanelment may be further extended twice for a duration of one year each time.

It may be noted that these five agencies would be empanelled only for the northern region of IOCL. IndianOil has three agencies empanelled for its corporate business – Dentsu, Percept’s AMO Communications and Interpublicity, which continue to be on board. Similarly, IOCL has a separate set of empanelled creative agencies for its product portfolio. They include Rediffusion Y&R, McCann Erickson, Draftfcb Ulka and Grey Worldwide. Lodestar UM continues to be the media agency on the roaster.
