Monte Carlo creative biz up for grabs

Monte Carlo, the brand from Oswal Woollen Mills Ltd, is scouting for a creative partner. It may be recalled that in October 2008, the account was won by JWT. However, it is learnt that JWT will not be taking part in the freshly called multi-agency pitch. Industry sources have pegged the account size in the region of Rs 15-20 crore.

Monte Carlo, the brand from Oswal Woollen Mills Ltd, is scouting for a creative partner. It may be recalled that in October 2008, the account was won by JWT. However, it is learnt that JWT will not be taking part in the freshly called multi-agency pitch. Law & Kenneth, Publicis, and Saatchi & Saatchi are among the agencies that are participating in the pitch.

Industry sources have pegged the account size in the region of Rs 15-20 crore.

The agencies have been asked to present ideas on how to take the brand Monte Carlo to the next level. The account will be a 360 degree initiative involving print, TV, BTL and OOH campaigns.

When contacted, the client and the agencies taking part in the pitch refused to comment on the development.

Oswal Woollen Mills Ltd is the flagship company of the Rs 2,500-crore Nahar Group and owns the Monte Carlo and Canterbury brands. The Nahar Group is an industrial conglomerate with a diversified portfolio that includes spinning, knitting, fabric processing, hosiery garments and knitwear.
