In a final turn of events, Tata has consolidated all of its telecom brands with Lodestar UM across the GSM and CDMA platforms. Virgin Mobile has been the final addition to the Lodestar arsenal, after Tata DoCoMo and Tata Indicom. The account size is pegged at upwards of Rs 60 crore. No pitch preceded this development.

It may be noted that Mindshare, Delhi had been handling the Virgin Mobile business since the brand’s entry into India in October 2007.

Lodestar UM sources have confirmed the development to exchange4media but did not offer any further details. The team has commenced work on the account with immediate effect.

This win, coming on the back of the Coca-Cola win some time back, wraps up 2010 for Lodestar UM on a highly upbeat note.
