ABN AMRO account goes to Publicis (India)
Publicis (India) Communications has bagged the ABN AMRO account, according to informed sources. The account size is estimated to be Rs 10-12 crore. The business has moved to Publicis from Contract Advertising.

Following a multi-agency pitch, the Dutch banking major is learnt to have chosen Publicis (India) as its advertising agency to provide all creative services. Vasantha Kumar, Vice-president and Head, Marketing Services, ABN AMRO, told exchange4media, "Yes, the creative duties have been assigned to Publicis.”
When queried about the media duties, Kumar said ABN AMRO’s media account remains with Madison.
Regarding the advertising account moving to Publicis, Kumar said, “It was a combination of many factors ranging from creative and strategic interpretation of the brief and their understanding of consumer insight that led us to select Publicis.”
ABN AMRO started looking for a new agency soon after JWT took over as the lead creative agency of HSBC worldwide, and Contract was given the responsibility of servicing the creative duty of HSBC in India. JWT and Contract are part of the WPP group.
Asked when the new campaign by Publicis would break, Kumar simply said that “things are on track.”
