Amazon sees 37% jump in online ad revenue in Q2

Amazon has reported that its online advertising revenue has jumped 37 per cent to reach $3 billion in the second quarter, as per media reports.
According to reports, Amazon's US ad business will grow 53 per cent this year to reach $US11.33 billion. This would reportedly give Amazon an 8.8 per cent share of the US digital ad market.
Overall sales for Amazon have been reported at $63.4 billion, as compared to last year’s $52.9 billion.
The net income for the retail giant in the June quarter, however, could not meet the expected $US2.6 billion.
The Net sales have shown an increase of 20% to $US63.4 billion. According to reports, this year 40 per cent of Amazon’s ad business in the US will come from the mobile category, a surge of 35 per cent compared to last year.
